Water Wise Tour

 

The Coppell Community Garden will be featured on the Dallas Water Utilities' Water Wise Tour on June 2nd.  The perennial garden at Helping Hands Garden is one of the tour's demonstration gardens because it has a good variety of drought tolerant and native plants that are labeled so tour guest will be able to see how these plants look in a landscape setting.

Many of the vegetables that are harvested are not readily found in stores, so here are basic cooking instructions for vegetables.  These cooking instructions are also given out with the produce at Metrocrest Social Services.

Photo Contest for Teens

Indu Bedi won the 2011 Photo Contest sponsored by the Coppell Community Garden.  The Photo Contest is open to High School students to demonstrate photography skills at the Coppell Community Garden or the Coppell Farmers Market. Contest ends May 6th.
